Silent Sentinel

This Great Grey Owl perched in our backyard several years ago and we had a heyday photographing him/her.  Those yellow piercing eyes are looking straight into your soul.  The white feathers underneath the beak is called a "bow tie".    Great Grey Owls are the world's largest owl by length, can weight up to 4 .2 pounds and measure 33" long but their wingspan can exceed 5 feet!
